I’m a bit of a beach wanderer, passionate about animals, music, food, and an enthusiast of all things ZEN.
I grew up as a competitive dancer which gave me an extensive relationship with movement of the body. After getting married and having children I wanted to continue finding ways to incorporate healthy movement in my life. I turned to yoga and fell in love with it.
As life moved forward with busyness and everyday ups and downs, I found myself struggling. I sustained a lower back injury (while stepping out of a car of all things!), had a young family to care for and wasn’t coping all that well. My body began to tell me that it was time to get back in touch with my authentic self. It did this with severe and debilitating physical reactions to stress. As I’ve learned time and time again, when we live in fear or bury our emotions, they always find their way to the surface. In my case, this meant dealing with a variety of chronic symptoms ranging from back pain to high functioning anxiety and panic attacks.
It was time to start paying attention. I dove deep into finding new ways for inner healing. Yoga and meditation became regular staples in my life. Then I was introduced to Reiki energy healing. Another passion emerged. With the combination of these practices, I started to feel more grounded, confident and connected to my true self. I became stronger both emotionally and physically. The more that I began to heal myself the more I felt compelled to share the power of these practices with others.
In 2017 I completed my Yoga Teacher Certification. Studying various concentrations: Hatha, YIN, Restorative and Pre Natal-Yoga, with an additional focus on Meditation and Breathwork. In 2020 I continued the journey of expansion and became a certified Reiki Practitioner. I am currently working towards my Intuitive Life Coach Certification, and my Sound Healing Certification.
I believe we can all use a little healing and support as we move through life. It really is a blessing for me to be able to share the positive effects that these modalities have had in my life, in hopes of helping and inspiring others to come into their own personal growth and beautiful movement capabilities.
